This is my road bike I purchased at The Geneva Bicycle Center in June of 2005. This was a replacement for my 1991 Trek 1200 that was destroyed when I was hit by a car. I took the insurance money and purchased this bike. I logged about 3000 miles on the original frame, which was replaced under warranty at the beginning of 2007 due to the paint bubbling on the seat stays. I have upgraded several parts on this bicycle, including changing it to an Ultegra double drive train. The compact geometry and slightly relaxed angles make this quite a comfortable bike, although it also handles well at speed. I have ridden in packs at over 30 mph, and descended hills at over 50 mph, and I have never been worried about the bikes handling. It’s not the lightest bike in the pack, but it goes very well, and at a very reasonable price.
